Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Siege opens then immediately stops running
Update: My original post was incorrect, I installed siege on the drive I said, but that was not the drive having blue screen errors, moving it to that drive fixed the issue, my guess is it was a corrupted install

I launch siege, the small launcher window pops up, then closes after like 15 frames, steam then says the game is no longer running.

I have tried:
- Verifying files
- restarting my pc
- launching through ubisoft connect directly
- running the siege executable as administrator
- reinstalling the game
- Deleting setting.ini
- Deleting the battleye folder in the siege root and verifying files
- closing every third part program running in the background (excluding nvidia's graphics software)

The game was working fine yesterday and wasnt updated, I did install valorant in that time (I ensured vanguard wasnt running when I was trying to launch siege) as well as tried to install fragpunk twice, tho my computer bluescreened at the same time in the install, im thinking its an issue with the drive, I uninstalled and reinstalled fragpunk successfully, it is worth noting that siege is installed on the same drive

My computer specs (if needed):
- Ryzen 5 3600
- Gigabyte B450M DSH3 Micro atx mobo
- Asus Dual series RTX 4060 ti
- 32gb of corsair vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 CL 16
- A Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500gb is my c drive
- Siege is installed on a Seagate Barracuda 2TB 5400 RPM Drive

It was worth the try but this unfortunately did not fix the issue

Same issue here. Works on UPlay without any issues. Also worked yesterday without issues and no updates since, just turned off PC and turned it back on

have you updated PC and graphic drivers. might have to go PC events after you boot r6 and see what error is happening and go from there. just type in event viewer in search bar should pop up

Its working ok today. But I did install Uplay version and played on Uplay yesterday so I dont know if that is related to it.
did you get it working if so what was the issue because now im having the same issue
i read the top now but how do i check which drive is having the error?
Its a uplay thing. Go into your task manager and close all instances of uplay.

Basically, if uplay doesnt boot up with r6 (because its already open), it'll force close itself.

this was not it, I checked with task manager and nothing was running in the background, not even uplay
