Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

60 fps or lower with rtx 3080 ryzen 7
I used to play Rainbow Six Siege on Vulkan, and I was getting 165 FPS consistently. Now it seems like Vulkan has been removed, and I'm stuck with DirectX 12, where my FPS has dropped to 60 or even lower.

I’ve attached two screenshots: one from when I played on Vulkan (165 FPS) and another from now (60 FPS).

Does anyone know how to fix this or improve performance? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Very strange, i have a 2070 Super and ryzen 5 3600 i'm playing basically all max with DLSS on Balanced and i got 144 Fps

Did you check the Settings Maybe you have something like VSYNC or FPS locked

IF your graphics is LOW just put all on Max so the GPU can do his Job

I got DLSS off
RTX 3070
Ryzen 7 5700x3D

i get around 240 frames in matches ... i dont know why because i locked my frames to 144.
I have the same graphic settings as when I played using Vulkan and the same PC. I have a friend with the same problem.

I have a titan x pascal and it runs on 4K 144FPS
Yes, and if I put the game on my old PC with a GTX 970 it also runs well, but I want to know why it runs so badly on my current PC.
I had 2 titan x running in SLI before but only a few games support it thus I sold one.

Maybe, try this, Steam -> Library-> R6 -> Properties-> General -> in “Startup Parameters” put -dx11 -> close that window and start the game.

I had a similar issue with FPS drops on DX12, and here’s what worked for me:

1- Disabled Overwolf – This was the main culprit, eating up 120-150 FPS.
2- Turned off unnecessary apps – I disabled Razer Synapse, DisplayFusion, and other background apps.
3- Disabled Discord overlay – Helped free up some extra performance.
4- Closed all non-essential apps while gaming – Anything not needed was shut down.

After doing this, my FPS went back to what I was getting with Vulkan. Hope this helps—let me know if it works for you!
