yes his shield will become indestructible but when it receiver enough damage it will shatter like a car window and block all your vision
so in short it can still save you from headshot and you can continue to fire to corner before you go back to cover

i'd replace the guys gadget as a whole at this point, it used to tank a C4 and now it takes one MP5 bullet if im not mistaken. Very useless operator

I dont get why people are calling him bad, at one point i do get it since mp´s and assualt rifles rly kill blackbeard but again dmr and shotgun hes very good if u play him right. And even if hes bad u got one more bullet to react then usual, thats good for me

in ranked you have to choose operators to support your team, blackbeard in this case is a selfish operator as his ability is taking one bullet and most people use automatics

BB needs a hefty rework. His guns have some fairly low damage figures and combine with a low RPM, he just gets beat by faster players in a 1v1. The shield will stop 1 bullet but there are usually a few more bullets following that. It is useful when you're about to peek a window and someone taps your shield, at least you know you shouldn't repeek.

Sadly this is what the game feels like when an player decides to smurf no counter to sweatasses playing like its life or death unless u count clash as one. And if that sweatboy gets one free headshot twice why bother playing at that point right?
edit: unless the team is supposed to kill one person via bodyshots
