I also try to keep in mind that we all have to start playing the game from somewhere, and not everyone is going to be a pro immediately. But I should not be playing with people that are new to the game if I have over 1000 hours between console and pc.
This is my biggest complaint against SBMM. It doesn't try to give you fair matches. It never has and it never will. It just tries to knock you down to a 1:1 win/loss ratio by any means necessary including giving you a team stacked with newbs vs some MLG Pro team.
It'll be YOU, Jar Jar Blinks, Michael Scott, Ralph Wiggum, and Patrick from Spongebob vs John Wick, James Bond, Darth Vader, Superman, and Thanos with the infinity gauntlet
"Good luck bro lol"
What's wrong with server browsers? And team balance from back in the day? Lemme guess, players can't see other players with new skins so it had to go?
When you run into a full PC squad while your team has 3-4 console players, it basically turns into a 3v5 or even 2v5 right from the start. Not exactly a fair fight.
Ranked 2.0 seperated the old MMR system into 2 values (shown MMR = VISIBLE RANK) and (hidden MMR = skill rank)
I'm serious when I say anyone can be champ because of how rank points work, if your silver seeing champs then it simply means those champs aint that far off your hidden MMR rank.
The only outlier to that is 5 stacking with abusing squad MMR values (hence the intro of the 6th player system) but it means nothing when you see someone who is silver facing a champ, what matters is how close they are in "skill rank" which isnt visible to us or any API hooking like R6Tracker
