Sorry to hear that you are encountering trouble with Rainbow Six Siege lagging and getting worse when you lower your settings.
To rule out some common causes of issues I have some tips I would advise trying below:
- Ensure your PC meets all system requirements [www.ubisoft.com] for Siege.
- Complete the steps in our dedicated troubleshooting guide [ubi.li]
Should you continue to have trouble, would it be possible to share your system specs?
Many thanks

Changing graphics settings has no effect, Ultra 1440p unstable 144 FPS (limited), same with minimum settings.
PC Specs: R5 5600, RTX 2060 Super, 32Gb RAM 3600Mhz, NVME SSD
I'm guessing the game doesn't sync frames well with G-Sync or something like that.
I tried uncapping fps - didn't help.
Game V-Sync - OFF, Driver V-Sync - ON
