Teammates can't hear me

I'm playing through steam on an Xbox controller and headset. I can hear teammates and they can't hear me. I've check audio settings. Input sensitivity is at 0. Push to talk is open. Game chat will light up for .5 seconds when I unmute but other than that I can't talk. Please help.

Have you tried if your headset mic works on other games too? This could be a setting or hardware issue. Try using a different mic and see if that works.

Mic works perfectly on every other game, including discord.

Then try checking around the audio settings of the game. Maybe you missed something there. Or try setting it back to default, it might work.

You could also try verifying game files, who knows, maybe there are some damaged files along the way that needs updating.

And lastly, try a different mic if you have any extras. See if that'd work too.

Hey everyone, and thank you for your reports.

For those experiencing issues with voice chat features, please try the following;

→ There is an account privacy setting for text and voice chat that if it is not set to everyone prevents players from using both voice and text chat entirely. The setting can be found under privacy center > social preferences on the account management website.

We think some recent changes to how Privacy setting are configured by default may be at cause here.
