for new players it is very difficult and me too. Since the game has a very steep learning curve it would be nice for new players to have beginner lobbies so that they can we matched with playres based on their level or skill level. everytime i try to play this game i end up uninstalling it due to it being less beginner friendly. and way too difficult the game is a great concept and a great creation but it needs to be beginner friendly i do like the game it's just that if you'd put beginner lobbies it would be better.

Seige has the worlds worst matchmaking bot in all history. Especially embarrassing for it being a triple A company that released it. NOTE this was BEFORE they now made it in the last little while that PC players have ZERO option except to play with console players in ranked. I left the game because of this decision AND because I STILL lack a 5 stack after all this time searching for one that at least knows the BASICS of the game (my LITMUS test is if they run away from their own team on attack each round = disqualified obviously). So in addition to having horrible matchmaking, you are also forced to play with people playing a COMPETITIVE SHOOTER with a vastly inferior peripheral to a mouse for aiming. I get it that Uplay hates their owned IPs (or at least does a bloomin great job acting like they do in most areas). So therefore it removes important features, and refuses to do anything EXCEPT let the community FIX their errors (Silent Hunter 5 is a perfect example of how failed a multimillion dollar corporation gets totally shown up by the community for fixing game breaking bugs). Anyways, I am typing a book here, lots of MATERIAL to work with when it comes to the foibles of said laughable/silly corp.
I'm new to the game i don't play ranked and i usually go for regular gamemodes and i just find it difficult to enjoy.

Hi, this is very hard to do. this is why i wldnt recommend this game.

1) theres no "casual" mode. its always full on insanity (tryharding, spawnpeeking, abusing, cheating etc), u die fast and often
2) theres no point playing ranked with randoms as a solo player (need maximum of communication and coordination) = need team
3) its very time consuming (queue, people loading into games, diying often, waiting for rounds to end etc) + learning operators, maps etc
4) u need to be fit, in the mood and focused to get something out of it
5) cheaters, toxicity and technical r frustrating
6) u gonna keep chasing the "Good rounds" which r rare
7) the "game" is not a game anymore but rather a trap

theres no shame in not playing this game but actually merit in playing something with a better fun to time ratio that also saves ur sanity.

god speed

then play with stacks and avoid randoms, even amateur players in this game are better than randoms for multiple reasons...yet while you do it, just remember to try and get 5 people that can agree running away from their own team on attack (because IT is carrying the prime obj in the captains hands) is other than a GOOD IDEA that would ever be taught in any IRL situation. Remember teamplay wins = #1 and Dying least/zero = #2
only beginners/amateurs FOCUS on kill counts and put that @ position number one (when it belongs at position #3) costing oodles of team wins because of their lack of exp.

The ONLY ways you will get A GOOD FAST STACK is to join the discords and properly vet people...this is your best method currently as trying to get them IN GAME is something I have done for years without hardly any pros (or even just people who teamplay the matches OBJs).
1. i dont use discord
2. most of the ppl ik dont have this game or play it

What is the problem with learning like the rest of us?!

They keep ruining the game making it more and more hand-holding baby friendly cuz trash new players crying and don't want to learn LIKE THE REST OF US...no one is born good at any game!

It's normal to die a lot starting out but you can practice with bots as well or watch your teams etc...

I don't remember Valve baby-friendly butchering Counter Strike so much like Ubitrash doing to this game...they are steep but good rewarding game STOP BUTCHERING IT UBITRASH

WTF is this no potty-mouth preschool chat filtering?! is this not an adult game?!?
Trash talking is nature with competitive gaming! It makes players more pump for a rematch!

A game like Siege will never be beginner friendly because the moment it starts catering to new players, that's when it loses what makes it so unique. You could be thousands of hours deep into this game and still learn something new and that's what I loved about it. If you want to play a beginner friendly FPS there's dozens and dozens to choose from. I do agree that smurfs in beginner lobbies are cringe, but it's a thing in every PvP game. Thousands of us put up with the same thing and we still play.

I'd avoid stacking as well. It makes you a weaker player. Playing with a friend is fine, but it's good to stay on your toes in this game and adapt to dynamic situations. The safety of a stack just leads to stale and cheesy plays or worse, a fragile ego.

Do you know what a competitive game is?
It's hard to find someone not sweating even on casual/quickmatch...but it makes it very satisfying to learn more tactics etc...(As Mewsha mentioned).

You can try more casual games like the Battlefield franchise where you respawn right away...Although this has deathmatch, its trash compared to something like COD.

Perhaps stick to coop games which this game isn't good at.
Many good online coop games out there.

I've played loads of competitive based games in my life i recently just switched over to mil - sim like games. I dont really have much money for games or a high end setup.
I'm also kind of new to the game and it's my first multiplayer shooter experience. Yeah it's hard, I die all the time and people get mad, but this was expected. Neither of my friends really wanted to play (I think because of that) so I searched the Forum for a teammate. There are very wholesome people who will explain the mechanics to you and you will get better eventually. Try your luck, if you really want to play. My progress is slow but it's still noticable and I am happy to see I get better, even if it's just a tiny step after another. There is a lot of information, it just needs time to figure out everything you need to know to be decent (as a general casual player). With the right friends every game can be fun!
