Problem with the free weekend demo, gift not showing up...

A friend of mine gifted me the game on steam. Since I recently added the free weekend version of r6 to my library, I am unable to accept it. The gift isn't even showing up. So my friend basically paid for nothing and I'm stuck with the free version that expires in three days.
So... am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥, or is there a way to fix this?

Turns out he just sent the games at different times, it arrived and all is well.
