muzzle break + vertical grip for every weapon :/

It depends on the weapon.

Usually the higher the fire rate, the more noticeable the recoil, but that's not always the case.

For example the M762 has a relatively low rate of fire, but Zofia is a versatile operator and thus gets picked often, so they nerfed the recoil on that weapon and so people turned to the LMG which, coupled with the Finka's ability no longer affecting recoil, ushered in the LMG meta that just resulted in the current recoil rebalance patch this season.

A similar quirk is found with her sister Ela's Scorpion EVO 3 A1. It's an SMG, so it has a high rate of fire, but Ela in the hands of a mechanically gifted player caused problems, so now her weapon is best used as a burst fire weapon because after a handful of shots, the recoil becomes uncontrollable.

LMGs in general now act in a similar way where the longer you hold down the trigger, the more extreme the recoil gets, but I've only noticed vertical recoil for the LMGs.

The majority of weapons should be using flash hider because the majority of weapons have an issue with vertical recoil. Vertical grip helps with that too and I honestly prefer it over the angled these days even on rush operators.

F2 and the AK-12 are perfect examples of that type of recoil.

Basically if you can't hold your mouse down, it's generally best to stick to lower fire rate weapons. However, the trade off is if you get into a gun fight that low fire rate could mean you die before your opponent does.

Compensators are for horizontal recoil, which is also known for being truly uncontrollable. With vertical recoil you can hold your mouse down to a certain degree, but you can't do anything for horizontal. Luckily most guns don't suffer from that issue. I think compensators are best on weapons with very low vertical recoil like the AUG A2 because you still could be hit with a pinch of random recoil. Still a very niche attachment.

Muzzle breaks do reduce recoil significantly, but only for the first shot, so sticking it on an AR, LMG, or SMG is not going to do you much good.

It does allow you to recenter after firing faster than other attachments. That's why they're great for semi automatic weapons, but even then I don't like to use it on anything more than pistols.

I main Dokkaebi, and use the MK 14 EBR which is a marksman rifle. Now that suppressors no longer have a damage penalty, I've been enjoying the suppressor on her weapon. If you fire from further away, defenders can be confused momentarily as to where the sound is coming from. However, muzzle breaks work fine on semi-autos like DMRs, especially on ones that have high vertical recoil. It was just a tad redundant on my MK 14 EBR. I don't really use DMRs on any other operator.

Muzzle break = single shot recoil, better for semi auto like DMRs and pistosl
Flash hider = less vertical recoil, guns that you think go upwards too much or too fast
Compensator = horizontal recoil, for guns that you think jump sideways too much

Vertical grip = less recoil, if you are having problem always slap this for an improvement
