I agree the new ranking system is actually bad, and you start at Copper yet there is a hidden elo where everyone in your lobby is actually at the highest elo you've ever made. For example, lets say 3000 elo was your highest, you would be in a Plat 5/Gold 1 lobby in your first match while you're a Copper 5. So if you're a high rank like Emerald/Diamond/Champ, you're going to get sweaty lobbies in your first 20-40 matches until that hidden elo drops because of all the games you're losing. I know, sounds pretty messed up, right?
One good thing about the new system is that you gain 80 elo and lose 9 elo until you match your highest elo ever on your account, so at that point it should even out to be +40 elo per win and -20 elo per loss. But the thing that sucks about that is you need to put 100+ matches in a season to match your highest elo ever, whereas the old placement system gave you a rank in 10 matches (although that was a bit flawed too). So if you barely play ranked and only put in 10-20 matches a season (which is every 3 months), you're only going to end up Copper/Bronze when the season ends.
Np man! Btw if you end the season a rank as Copper/Bronze don't be discouraged, you are still going to gain 80 elo per match until you reach your highest elo ever. I barely play on PC but mainly play on PS5 now so when I played 4-5 matches I was bewildered to be in Emerald elo as a Copper, that's when I realized the new ranking system is a bit stupid. You would think if you're Copper you would go up against Coppers/throwers like the old elo system but absolutely not, so that is something to keep in mind. Since you play on PC, I recommend R6Tracker which tells you your teammates' and your enemies' highest elos and kds as well as the lobby's average elo.

It sounds like you solo queue and that is the hardest (especially on European servers because of the language barrier and toxicity). There is an official R6 Discord server where you could find teammates from your country that have the same rank/skill level as you too.
Feel free to friend request and dm me questions, I've been playing ranked for years and I've gotten used to the bs of the ranking system, still fun though! Plus people get annoyed when a thread on the forums has two people making a lot of replies to each other, idk why so better to dm me if you have more questions.
