Ever since Season 3 this year my graphics card has been overheating
I have a rtx 3080 and I was able to play this game with no issue since I got it, but ever since season 3 dropped this year my graphics card temp went from running around 60 degrees to 80 plus, causing some random lag spikes. This is the only game that is doing this, otherwise any other AAA game I play like spider-man or uncharted, the card only hits about 70 or 75 degrees in high- ultra settings.

I play this game in high and low settings in 1440p. I also limit the frames to 240 fps in nvidia control panel to match my monitor's refresh rate.

Does anyone else have this issue? I tried DDU to remove nvidia drivers and install them fresh again, updated my bios, deleted r6 and reinstalled from scratch... I'm not sure what's going on.

80 isn't overheating. Even 90 won't cause any lag spikes. If you have lags spikes it's unrelated.

Your other games are CPU bound, siege isn't.
Also running a game in GPU bound scenario causes lags by itself, so if your GPU load is 100% limiting FPS further can make it smoother.

Staying under 85 is considered optimal for your NVIDIA card, so it doesn't sound like it's overheating to me. However, the lag spikes indicate that your FPS is too high. Turn it down. 240 FPS just is not necessary.
User afterburner then
