Concurrent players are the total amount of players online at a given time while total players are the amount of unique players that have opened the game in a given amount of time. With the example of CS:GO, they had a concurrent player count of 500k with a total monthly player count of 9-10 million. That means that 9 million DIFFERENT PEOPLE opened the game at some point during that month.

There is no chart on SteamDB or any site regarding total players that have opened the game in a given amount of time. The only data they have is an estimate of the total amount of accounts that have Rainbow and the amount of concurrent players. If we take the ratio of concurrent to total from CS:GO, we get 4%. If you were to apply that number to the daily concurrent players on Rainbow, you would get 750,000 - 1,375,000 unique players per month.

I also don't understand why people assume that 30-50k is a dying game. In a single game of Rainbow, you meet 9 players that you've never met before. If you were to take 100 players, you would have 11 matches where everyone in your game would be someone you've never met. If we assume that a ranked match lasts for 20 minutes, that nearly 4 hours worth of matches with 100 players.

If we assume that you will only ever get matched with 10,000 players from the game, that's 370 hours worth of matches where you match with 9 different people each match. If people think that this is inadequate, I don't know what to tell you.

Talking about my self , i used to play this game daily , but now it doesn't attract me anymore , i have it on my library not touching it , and when i do i play one quick match and get instantly boring, from that one year ago they just keep adding maps and characters , don't see any balance tweaks or care abt cheaters

You forgot about Uplay, and epic game store? Steam doesnt have any data on those platforms, theres a huge chunk of players that only play on uplay. Also the player base always grows back up once new content is released, and slowly goes back down.

Nobody plays on epic store , the only games they play there is rocket league , gta V and that garbage game Fortnite

i wonder why the night , is the peak player-base , if you see any other game the peak playerbase is around 3pm according to Eu time , does that mean the game is played way less in eu compared to na , or is that when people get bored from other games come to this game ?

According to SteamDB, the peak for today was 65k and it was 3 hours ago. In terms of time zones, that's 3-5 PM in NA/SA and 10-11 PM in Europe.

So no, those numbers imply it is played relatively evenly since the player count starts dropping around 10-11 PM in Europe and hits the daily low around 1-4 AM in NA/SA and 9-10 AM in Europe.

The game itself died when ranked 2.0 hit. The game was suppose to be a tactical competitive game . Ranked 2.0 not only killed but buried it. There are only 3 kind of people left most of them are alt accounts to cheat/hack, or because they had the account from wayt back when. They have the noobs who think the game will be fun and cool that quickly find out how bad it is and the people who stay because they want it to be better but have become so jaded over the game they turned it into a toxic ♥♥♥♥ show aka trolls.
