It's a massive pain that there are people who basically grindfest levels on accounts for Siege, sell them and repeat for cheaters across the world. Having a more thorough system in place to see exactly how well a new player is doing in siege should be super useful in catching cheaters. I get people can start a new game and just be really good at it but c'mon.
at a minimum, it takes 358 lost casual games to earn enough XP
or 215 won causal games
to achieve rank 50,
by setting it to lvl 100 you would be forcing players to play 716 lost casual games
or 430 won casual games to play ranked
358 games at an average of 10 mins (this is a lowbal)
would be 3580 mins or 59 hours roughly of purely in match time
just to be able to play ranked
and take into account this is purely in game time, not main menu
not operator selection screen etc etc
rank 50 is already a large screening to be able to play ranked
59 hours of in game time is around double in terms of actual play time
when you consider queue and other things that do not count toward in game time
another thing to consider is 10 minutes is only a low ball estimate, some games will go on for 15-20 and others 8-10 mins
making the level requirement higher would not reduce cheating in your matches
, it would reduce player count and in terms make queue times longer. discouraging people from playing ranked in the first place, there is already an MMR level determining who you are matched with and what skill level they are. if you are above silver 4 you wont be queue with people lvl 50 or really even lvl 70-90. if you are consistently being queued with players lvl 50-90 then you are in the silver 4 and below. in these ranks cheating is so rare that you
are probably calling people better then you cheaters. this isn't to say "you're bad" or whatever but people at these low ranks call people cheaters even if they themselves don't actually know, ask yourself this, how often do you go into match replay and confirm someone you think is cheating, actually is ? or do you see something and just assure yourself they are 100% without a doubt cheating...
cheating is a real issue, surely, but to say making the lvl cap higher would help the issue , is a dumb thing to even suggest considering the majority of cheaters are in the higher ranks such as plat/diamond and champion levels
not gold/below where rank 50-100 players are on average playing in......
They need to develop their own anti hack instead of relying on a anti-cheat that every hackers knows backwards and sideways.
It's a one time thing though.
Majority of people who actually play this game have several hundreds hours.
If you're against this, then it's probably because you feel you'd have to grind it over and over again. In which case just don't get banned in the first place, for whatever reason.
Then you're not doing your weekly challenges and dailies.
Playing ranked without a full squad is a complete gamble. No amount of skill can overcome horrendous randoms
Majority of cheaters are actually in lower ranks, boosting people for money.
You really shouldn't be talking about this if you think majority of cheaters are in higher ranks only. Because you clearly have no clue about how it works in Siege.
Level 100 is nothing, you can get there in less than 100 hours.
You have a bunch of easy weekly challenges that give a ton of xp and renown, as well as daily challenges and core challenges for new accounts.
The only reason people would get mad about the raised level cap is the bots grinding XP to get into ranked to make money by boosting people with cheats.
By raising the level cap you also reduce the money these thugs make by wasting more of their time.
