Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

ALT + TAB/ Ubisoft Connect Freeze
When i load the game i can play antyhing. But opening Ubisoft connect causes the game to freeze. I can hear the sound of the menu but i cant physically click anything or close Ubisoft connect. Ive scoured the internet about this issue and people say its something to do with running it in borderless window vs windowed. This is not the issue at all. DOes the same on both ends. Also if i can somehow get the game to act right if i alt tab out of the game i can no longer choose anything due to the game not letting me click anything when i tab back in. This is on a new computer and I have NEVER had thesee issues on any of my old devices. When i fisrt started using this computer i had no issues as well. Now of out of the blue im having major issues that seem to have originated almost a decade ago. Any help would be great! Thanks guys

The exact same thing is happening to me since I changed to a new computer.
Even after installing the latest driver and reinstalling it, it didn't work.

Hi everyone,

thanks for reaching out.

Sorry to hear that when you press alt +tab, it causes the game to freeze.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Cleanboot[ubi.li] This will disable background applications that might interfere with the game and cause this issue.

2. Perform a DISM/SFC [ubi.li] scan on your PC, as this will identify and repair any potential issues with your operating system.

3. Ensure that your Monitor's DPI [ubi.li] settings are set to default/native value. It can sometimes cause issues with the game if the value is set to a higher or lower.

4. Verify the game files[ubi.li] as this will indetify and repair any missing/corrupted game files.

5. Run the game with Admin rights[ubi.li], as there is a possibility that your current Windows profile does not have full permissions and is causing the freezes.

6. Try disabling the overlay:

• Launch Ubisoft Connect PC and log in your Ubisoft account.
• Select your profile in the top left corner of the application.
• Go to the "Settings" tab.
• In the Interface section, on the Enable in-game overlay for supported games line, untick the box.

Please let us know if any of the above steps helped.

Thanks.

Tried this last one, it just keeps me from being able to send and receive invites altogether, but at least it doesn't freeze while it happens lol
