Why is there no minimap in Online play? Not in Pvp, not in TH?

Where do you need minimap? It would make things too easy.

I thought that same thing at first. But after a few hours, I think they made the right choice leaving it out. Maps are really small to begin with. I think removing the map forces tighter teamwork, and to utilize the available skills and equipment. For example, I noticed in my casual matches, nobody ever takes to the fixed cameras right away to do an initial spotting run. But it can do wonders.
