Asian/Indian servers on this game
Hello,

Before I buy this game I wanted to know if there are any Asian/Indian servers? Specially Indian servers.

If yes, can you guys tell me where they are located?

Thank you

There is a Japan server for sure. Perhaps Korean server too.

That's no good unfortunately.

Japan servers are usually worse (in terms of ping) than EU servers for me. And Korea will be around 110 ping as well.

i live in hong kong and the people i play with are mostly from main land china. my ping is always between 30 to 50. i play also with a friend from australia and my ping is over 200 but still smooth gameplay. no lagging nothing.
i was never able to select a server or filter them. you can creat your own though.

So the gameplay is viable with high ping?

I'm in Asia. Terrorist Hunt is hosted by players. Multiplayer is hosted on their servers. So you tend to get better ping on Multiplayer (<100 ping) VS compared to Terrorist Hunt (most of the time >200).

Since I don't have the game yet, I am not sure what you are telling.

Which is the major gamemode?

Multiplayer (VS) is 5v5 - Ubisoft Servers Host

Co-op (Terrorist Hunt) is PvE (vs AI) - Player Host

I'm not sure who plays which mode more. uPlay does not state how many players are playing.

I cannot guarantee your ping though. Buy at your own risk

Hey. I'd like to know if the servers are good enough to play. I'm also from India and would have no problem with a ping upto 150ms. Has the game worked well for you Flanar?

there are several data centers world wide (see below). you can even change your location manually.

go to this folder:
\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\STRANGE NUMBERS AND LETTERS\GameSettings.ini

Open then GameSettings.ini file and scroll down to:

[ONLINE]
;DataCenterHint =>
; default 'ping based'
; eus 'us east'
; cus 'us central'
; scus 'us south central'
; wus 'us west'
; sbr 'brazil south'
; neu 'europe north'
; weu 'europe west'
; eas 'asia east'
; seas 'asia south east'
; eau 'australia east'
; wja 'japan west'
DataCenterHint=default

Just set "default" to your prefered location/data center like "DataCenterHint=weu".

BUT DONT FORGET: set the GameSettings.ini file to read-only, otherwise the game will automatically replace your file with the system file back to default.

AND: every region has its own ranking server. so for example if you played on eu west all the time and switch to us east now, you wont be able to play with your previous eu west rank. you'll get a new rank for this specific region and start by zero. but you can easily switch back to other regions and play further with your old rank in this region.

PS: Sorry for my not perfect English. i hope i could help you. It worked for me :D
