Out of curiosity to anyone that purchased from GMG did the key activate on steam or was it Uplay only?

The reason I asked is because I have purchased a game that said Uplay from them before and it worked on steam to activate. Just curious is all.

I bought mine from GMG, it was a Sream key, but it has to be activated on Uplay also.

I got mine from GMG and it was an invalid key on steam and uplay...

Sorry you're having issues with your key. I know GMG seems legit but they are not. At least for Ubisoft games and a few other AAA companies.

It was helpful to get official verification and I'd like to have other consumers know the facts before they make the mistakes I did.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up guys. I know GMG is an authorized seller for some companies but was unaware they werent with ubisoft. You guys just saved me some loot!

I also got my key from GMG and it works fine. It only works on Uplay though.

After seeing your case and that article provided, I went to get it from DLGamer instead. Since its an approved vendor. And it works :D:

I bought it from GMG originally, but was stupid and didn't notice is what not a steam key. Kindly (and left it optional for them) asked for a refund and they gave it. Paid the extra $20 just so I could have it on steam.
