Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

NAT (moderate)
Hello,

I start playing the game on 29th september, always had NAT moderate. And today I want to have an open NAT. Here is a list of what I tried to do :

-Disabling firewall : NAT (moderate)
-Disabling router firewall and customzing filters : NAT (moderate)
-Port forwarding needed ports (Both uplay and R6S) : NAT (moderate)
-Trying to set my IP on DMZ : NAT (open)

So why the ♥♥♥♥ my nat is open when i'm on DMZ, there's something illogic

yes, DMZ open all your ports in router
Thanks for your useless response. I already know that -_-
Got the same issue, running a Sonicwall NSA250m and have forwarded all Ports and adjusted the Firewall Rules, mine stays on strict. There is definitly sopmething wrong with the NAT Test of R6 or the Ports given from the support site.
The thing is that appearently, the Upnp of R6 is like "idiot". It dooesn't really auto forward ports for some unknown reason, and the ports on the support site are effectively kind of wrong
i had moderate nat after trying every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing. this helped
Port Forwarding
If it is not possible to shut-down your firewall you will need to configure your router and/or firewall to forward the following network ports:

Uplay
TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200, 14000, 14001, 14008

Rainbow Six: Siege
UDP 10000-10099, 3074
TCP 80, 443

Directions for configuring network ports are specific to the software and hardware being used, and can be found by visiting the manufacturer's website. Websites such a http://www.portforward.com offer tutorials on how to open ports on your router.
firewall and all that ♥♥♥♥ on. used the software portforward.com has to check for open ports, and now i have nat open
i opened these ports also on friends router. and now we both have open nat.
it depends on what ios on router you have. some name it as port forward ,others name it port trigger/game application . i have Asus router, and my friend has a speedtouch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ios router
Did you activate UpnP? My Firewall is a Professional Firewall so UpnP isn't supported because of security reasons. I still believe that the ports from the support site are wrong. I would also never forward Port 80/443 Inbound when im not running a webserver.

my nat problems solved simply by changing the "year" setting on windows , i had changed it to 2010 to see if i can run an expired program then forgot it on reboot

guess what , certificates on websites didnt work, so did origin and rainbow six siege

i remembered it after a good sleep and got it fixed and rebooted, problem solved
Ok guys i found something out today. I have startet my Packet Monitor on the Firewall. What i found out so far is that Ubisoft didn't tell us all the ports they use ;-) My Firewall drops Packages from one of the Ubisoft Servers (216.98.48.94) from Port 11060, 11065 all of them are UDP. I will write a detailed description after i found out all Ports they really use.
Alot of Packeges Monitored and a few hours later, i can say the following:
- Without UPnP you will stay on strict NAT.
- Most Connections are coming in from Port 1106X to 31XXX, 35XXX, 57XXX
- If your Router doesnt support UPnP then those Ports never will get in Action

The only port used in this game for me is 3074

Just wanted to say I did exactly this and now I went from moderate to open. Thanks!

Make sure you *didn't* enable ports 80/443, as those are ports used when you're hosting a website (80 for http, 443 for https). By having those open, bot scripts will find you, and kill you :)
Forwarding UDP 10000-10099 worked for me. Went from moderate to open. :)
