It's T for text chat to everyone, Y is text chat for team mates and U is for verbal communication with team mates

There is most definitely a key binding for voice chat, since I've customized some of the key-bindings. Are you sure you looked?

The problem is the keybindings don't have a "push 'x' to talk". They say to push the button on your microphone like you're some sort of console peasant. Most PC headsets don't have a "push to talk" button. Other options are no mic or always on.
