not 100% esrb or wahtever is just a guideline, there is some reason to think voliet games don't really effect kids will the ones that can handle it, and another note people who play voliet games 1 hour a day is better off then those who do not since they loss all stress

That's a very VERY optimistic way to look at it. Age is often directly linked to life experience so there's quite a chance of seeing an old man being immature but the chances of a very young person being mature are far lower than that.

So yes, age is often quite important when it comes to maturity, and who say otherwise are often young people themselves, trying to look more mature than they really are. I'm sure many of us here look at the past and regret doing stuff and facepalm at our past actions reminding how dumb and immature we were back then.
