How to deal with Ranked Anxiety?
I've been playing this game for nearly 4 years and I am still stuck in Plat. Part of the reason why I feel like I'm stuck is because of my ranked anxiety .

I know this because on my alt account, I have the all the confidence in the world, swinging everything and getting kills and dropping double digits every round and then. But when I switch back to my main account, I am a completely different player. I occasionally drop doughnuts (0 kills), doing stupid sh*t and playing like a little p*ssy. My confidence DROPS . Especially when I go against someone who are known to be good or pro players, I tend to lose all confidence and get nervous and shake while playing (I am usually Plat 2+).

Does anyone have the same problem? And to those high level players in Diamond/ Champion, how did you do it? Was there something you did that helped you reach the rank that you desired? I always try to play with full squad every ranked game but I just can't seem to get there...

I love this game. And this is probably the best FPS game I've ever played. But I want to become better and get the rank that I desire. Any suggestions/ tips are appreciated!

I used to have this ranked anxiety too. But I realize after a while that this game, like any other competitive game, is full of smurfs, hackers and trolls.

So in the end your rank is not that meaningful. I'd rather be recognized as someone who is under-ranked than someone who has inflated rank.

1) You shouldn't care who are your enemies, it won't change a thing
2) Do not hesitate with your actions
3) If you feel that ranked gives you anxiety, play some casual, don't force ranked on yourself

It's a mentality thing. Also, find a team/group you enjoy that you know can atleast trade and personally knowing my teammates have a high chance of clutching up in situations or giving out great callouts boosts your performance.

I do have real problems irl. Siege is something i LOVE playing and I devoted so much time into it. What's wrong with caring for something that you love?

I concur. When I play with a few of my friends, I know they're good enough that with enough callouts they can usually clutch a lot of scenarios. I often leave the match with the least amount of kills, and when I get frustrated about it they always remind me we won because of team work and callouts. If you find a group to play with, even if you're bottom-fragging, you can still help by calling out team locations and giving information.

Personally, I listen to some metal and jump a mile ahead of my opponents with enough caffeine to kill a small child. You need to develop a superiority complex when playing ranked, and tell yourself, that even if it's a bad day in the office, you can still beat them comfortably

hmm, stop using tracker or even looking or remembering names of people because that seems to be a big confidence sink for you, getting a squad you are good friends with also seems like a top priority, if your group is chill and constantly cracking jokes you are much more likely to be relaxed

and most importantly, stop associating rank with skill or even kills, last season i was playing ok but got to gold 1 this was with my squad where generally speaking i was the top frag (or 2nd) and usually the one who actually pulled through at the end, this season i solo queued and despite me knowing i was much better than last season i got to silver and then despite pulling 15-17 kills in almost every game ended up at bronze 5

however, this is the important part, i am not upset about this at all because i knew i did get better than last season, and as long as you are getting better you eventually will make it to whatever rank you want to get at

i recommend watching this video, instead of generic tips it goes into the mentality of playing and seems to be well made for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgOZwa5Wwp4

I have the same issue as you but I'm different. I haven't even touched Quick Match yet because of anxiety. I don't know what I'm doing and the thought of getting flamed in voice chat or text in the game has me nervous about even trying. I've made posts about trying to find a group of players who don't mind helping me out but so far no luck. Its the same with me on any pvp shooter kind of game. I've watched enough Youtube videos of this game to semi know what to do but its the initial anxiety that scares me. Maybe its just getting in there and trying and see how I do. I get the same way when I play ranked League of Legends because that game is ultra toxic.
