Penalty for leaving games after losing connection?

How does that make any sense? It's not my fault the ubi servers are garbage and keep dropping me, its not my fault when the game crashes for seemingly no reason. So why is it that I get punished and receive a cooldown for this?

I've never once rage quit, left on purpose during a match, or abandoned a game by not reconnecting, and now after a crash and a probable Ddoss, I've have a matchmaking cooldown. This system needs an update, this is possibly the most senseless thing I've seen in a while.

If there was no penalty people who are losing could unplug their router to not have a loss.

I feel like there's not enough people that dedicated to leaving early to outweigh the number of people who have likely been effected by just losing connection. Plus, the first game I left because of a crash I rejoined, and I guess it still counted. This also doesn't make any sense, as why would I still be penalized if I made an effort to rejoin?

You’re underestimating this community a bit. If this was a thing it would be abused so heavily and would ruin Ranked games. I get where you’re coming from but it’s simply not a good idea.

This should only really happen after you are disconnecting often. If the game is crashing or disconnecting for you often, you should be reaching out to support. If you think someone DDoSed your game, please see this post[forums.ubisoft.com] on how to report these types of players.

Thank you for your reply, I will reach out to support if this happens again. I don't often get disconnected, but this was a DDos for sure. We were up 3-2 on Kanal and I was top fragging for my team. right after prep phase on round 6 everybody on the server got 600-700 ping and we were all frozen. then we started to disconnect one by one. Not sure who did it, chat was still working and people on both sides were saying it was the other team. unfortunately, I was not able to record this, and don't know who did it specifically.
