ranking system/matchmaking

can someone explain how it works and whats the reason to have a rank, because im plat 1 and i search solo, in my team i get gold 3 emerald 4 and silver 3 and plat, i just dont understand?

same thing here we queue with 2 bronze 2 golds and one silver and we get full gold and plat enemies everytime

There is a hidden mmr system in play. Your gold players were probably plat level players, or considered as such, and the bronze players were probably gold etc.

Well, the matchmaking system uses a hidden mmr system. The other players probably play on a level similar to you so are being matched up with your level. Honestly it is a crap system and it sucks for a lot of players. If the game thinks you are a certain level, it will penalize you.
