R6 sound bug, for 2 years now.

So ive been having a terrible sound bug in R6 since almost 2022.

When i start the game i only get little short sound spans and then nothing. I hear every interaction i do, like shooting or walking, but as soon as i stop i hear absolutely nothing. I absolutely don't hear other players as well. I didn't play this game since 2022 because of this. Now i tried to come back and the same fkn issue is still there.

The game is on an SSD, ive never changed my headphones, the headphones are in default and are selected by the game in options. Ive tried every audio mode, restarted my PC, checked the game files via steam and so on.
Like i said ive had the game for some time and never any audio problems up until an update in 2022.
Ive tried so much bs from other forums, YT vids and the Ubi Page, nothing is helping me.

Pls, i like the game quite a lot and want to enjoy it like i used to do.

So ive changed my window setting to borderless window, which resulted in some sound coming back. But still there is missing the music, announcer, drone sound etc.... Also sometimes it comes all back like in a split second and the its gone again, for example when an OP is saying something the sound comes and disappears within a sec.

As far as ive seen many people had this bug since 2022, without someone actully finding a fix for it or Ubi Support sending a support Link which doesn't help either.

Pls if you had or still have this similiar issue write it down in here.

file integrity verification. I have to do it alot myself because stuff gets ... odd with the game. Sound gets funny, hit reg gets funny etc. I do that and usually that fixes the problems. If not, I uninstall the game and then not play for a while because I get into the better things to do phase and come back and issues are fixed.

Audio is still horendous even if you verify the files, its because the audio itself has been broking for years, nothing you can do to fix it just hope ubi will rework it intead of half assed "fixes"

Which drivers? From my motherboard and GPU?
Ive checked the game files via steam many times, have the latest version of windows installed, switched the install folder from SSD to HDD and back, completely reinstalled windows once and the sound bug is still there.

Thats excactly what i did in 2022, couldn`t fix the bug, ubi support is trash and left the game in hopes that the bug is fixed by the meantime. 2024 i tried my luck and its still fkd.

Over 1200 hrs into it and now i can`t even enjoy it anymore. Just sad

I feel ya! While I am not having the sound issues you are, I am experiencing sound problems. Like the game code just doesn't register the sounds at all. Sprinting sounds are non existent, vault sound ques and so forth. If I am not looking directly at the person when I am ADS'd, I would have almost no info if they were there at all.

Back on the sound problems, are you using a sound card that isn't included with your MOBO? If so, is that updated? Other than that, does your headset have settings that can be adjusted?

No iam not using a sound card. Ive checked my headset, adjusted various settings in the windows device manager and also switched to normal speakers, the problem is still there. Ive borrowed my friends headset, its sadly still the same issue.

So for me i downloaded it on my second ssd and i started to get this problem so i uninstall and put it on my first ssd and the problem went away

Hey GUYS I'm come with cure for your sick :d just kidding.So main reason its why its same way ı did the Chriskun13 did ı just get a new ssd download this game to new ssd but it doesnt work probably my ubisoft and battle eye is in main ssd so when ı transfer this game to my main ssd it solved ı hope this is work for u guys btw u dont need to uninstall and reinstall ♥♥♥♥ u can just transfer the files by using steam permission ı hope it works for u guys see ya have fun.
