oh, tossing stuff into a gate that disables if you toss stuff into it or healing to tank the damage is a counter to it? well I suppose it is in the same way that tossing flashes first to burn Jäger and Wamai gadgets is but you can just shoot them too which you can't do with the gate, the problem with it is that it forces attackers to play by the defender's rules, incase you haven't noticed siege is a game all about enforcing your rules onto the map and removing enemy rules as much as you can/need, Aruni just flips the bird to this beautiful and agressive state and puts down her rules powered by the might of god
It's balanced(ish) as it is; ubisoft are actually not doing too bad at balancing things these days. I have no doubt that it will undergo some changes. More importantly, people will learn new ways to counter it. There's a "new op operator" every season but realistically it's just people not being used to the changes that have been made.
There were other perfectly fine operators (both new and old) that were changed simply because the devs wanted to see a new meta or because some pro league team complained about it. All in all, itll probably be nerfed before we can see those new counters
