Pro Tip:
1. This map is all about backlighting and focused line of sight. Find a position to defend that gives you a long line of sight with a window or lighted hallway opposite of you. Enemies will charge you and their frame will stick out like mud on a white tile floor.
2. Don't run around when defending. You can't see anything but the enemy is AI. Stay in cover. Duck away when reloading. Just don't panic and run.
3. Use friendly crossfire. There are many ways to create killzones where each operator uses backlighting like in tip 1. Find defensible positions which combine elements 1, 2, and 3 before planting the bomb.
4. Cover one entrance and one entrance only. Sometimes you're forced to cover an entrance with no backlighting and poor cover. In this scenario do not move your sights checking your buddies. Keep crosshair focused on one spot and watch for subtle shifts in the smoke as enemies close in. Use single round fire to fire and readjust as you pin down their location.
5. Know when to zerg. Tip 2 states do not move around, but sometimes mobility is the best defense. If you're down to 2 or fewer operators on the last bomb don't sit in one spot. The enemy will pinpoint you and rush that location. Clear all barbed wire and C4 in the area before planting to give you room fo move. When the bomb plants wait to ambush a few white masks which will draw attention to your location then displace and rush behind them. The AI will adjust to your new firing position giving you time to rush back to cover diffuser which is probably being attacked. I've successfully used this sevaral times to win the match when I was the only operator at the start of last bomb diffusal.
Good Luck!
Yup! This makes it the most fun. Has anyone else noticed that if you do this though, only the "host" will get the Article 5 situation completion award?
Let me stress this one more time.
NOT STRUGGLING WITH BEATING IT.
GAME DOESN'T FIND ANY PLAYERS TO CONNECT TO.
CAN'T EVEN PLAY IT.
Sheesh, that hard to get the memo?
I'll have to try that one when I get some of my peeps online, thanks for the hint.
I have the exact same problem, but with terrorist hunt in general. Matchmaking is so fubar'd I have found, literally, 4 games in 2 months of searching.
If that was my approach, I wouldn't have made a thread in the first place. I want to play it for the sake of it being part of the content I have paid for, as well as completion.
