And yeah! The AK12 is probably my favorite gun, and arguably the best gun in-game.
Really makes you wonder why they thought he'd be a suitable addition to the game right after taking utility from Buck and Mozzie because they were "too versatile."
Im sure members of the community would be more than happy to model the weapons, even if it was a variant of an existing weapon. Such as Mavericks 1911 tactical
It was 'balanced' due being locked behind a 3 armor operator with a mediocre - okaish type of gadget, that works against individuals with very low amount of map awareness (newbies) or new players to the fps genre.
Edit: also wildlands & siege use the same engine, the Anvil NEXT 2.0 engine.

For example the super shorty that Mozzie & Gridlock got was from Ghost Recon Wildlands...
Edit 2: That video isn't up to date regarding all the new weapons wildlands added later on, during the game life span / support from the devs.
But I could be wrong, since Ubi hasn't made a public statement nor any disclosure about what are their resources put into (only exception being the six invitational, when they do tell us about general game mechanics / features that should be added soon™ & the road map). From time to time, after x amounts of months we get some info about what is coming next (if it isn't leaked 1st) and what they're trying to fix.
So I don't blame the R6S devs, but rather I blame the Ubi executives / suits / corporate side of things.
Hibana is still more useful than Ace regarding reinforced hatches, pocket smg and she's 3 speed. Those are the only advantages she got over Ace.
Still Ace got a general stronger gadget than most of the other hard breachers, and a way stronger kit; he's only missing being a 3 speed and frag nades to be kinda busted like Melusi, lol.
