How to turn on motion blur?
MotionBlur is already set to 1 in the .ini but it just does not want to work in the game. Am I missing something?

Why on earth would you ever want to turn on motion blur?

Why in the actual ♥♥♥♥ would you want to turn motion blur on? Do you want to torture yourself?

I am so tired of people crying about others wanting motion blur on any post that asks about this. Jesus christ, it is a visual effect that some people enjoy, deal with it. We have come far in terms of graphics in the past 20 years and some people want to actually use certain effects. Grow up.

But why do you enjoy it?

Because I prefer the way it makes movement look in a virtual space, the smoothness of it. I find it so insane how as a kid I used to try and figure out which games will come with motion blur, back when it was a "next gen feature", so to say, and nowadays people are acting like it is the worst thing ever, when it's just a visual effect that does not nearly affect the player's vision as much as they pretend it does. I am tired of the old "but you won't be able to see someone passing you if they are running as easily" stuff... Bla. Bla. Bla. Been playing with it on since it was a new thing, never had issues with it on or off. I just prefer the look of it.

If you enjoy the look of it, I'd suggest trying out a 144hz monitor with hardware that can push the framerate to match sometime. Movement being naturally smooth from a high framerate will likely look even better to you than the artificial smoothness MB provides.

Camera-based motion blur in games has pretty much always been to help disguise low framerates, so I didn't mind it back when I had an entry-level rig and was often running games around 45fps, as it did wonders for helping disguise how janky anything sub-60 looks on a modern game. However, once you start hitting the 100+ frame counts, I've found that the natural smoothness of the framerate basically causes the effect of motion blur to "flip" and make movement look far more unnatural instead, hence why I personally always turn it off.

Do your eyes not do the same thing when you turn a game camera real fast?

I have had 144 Hz monitors for about 6 years now and my rig is more than capable of putting out hundreds of frames on a lightweight game like R6S. I get your point about it being used to disguise bad frame rates, which is absolutely true, but there is no connection between playing on 144 Hz and using motion blur, one does not ever look anything like, better or worse than the other, two completely different matters.
