Even if the enemy is far away, why run it? It gives you lower ADS speed and hindered mobility in close range. 1x sights work fine in every situation. People don't act like this about zoom in for other games.
I use ACOG in every situation on attack. The zoom makes it easier to land headshots.
If the ACOG doesn't suit you, then you'll only harm your playstyle, if you try to use it.
What's more, it'd also mean, removing ACOG from Maestro's Alda didn't affect your gameplay in any way, but helped you, while pushing from some sharp wall angles, if there's enemy Maestro waiting for you.
We could say, it'd also depend on the player's skill and luck, who's controlling the Maestro, but that's pretty much all about it.
