It's very annoying that the efforts of the previous season were worth nothing. Plus, if there is very little time in the season, is it better not to start playing? What if you miss the season? And what if you want to play with your equals in strength? A lot of friends left the game until they change the rank system. I'm almost alone...
Eh, I mean it's always been like this with the rank reset, even with the old ranking system.
Yeah, I agree it's bs you have to play 100+ matches now just to get your rank and if you only play less than 20 matches you end up Copper/Bronze. I actually posted months ago praising the new ranked system but the more I play it on PS5, the more I don't like it.
So even if you start out Copper, you are put in lobbies with people who have your highest elo. Lets say you were Plat 1 a season ago, you're going to verse people between Plat 2-Emerald 4 in any elo you are at, it's very weird they added a hidden elo with your highest ever rank mixed in with everyone starting off Copper, I just don't understand it.
I wonder how esports players play? They rarely played such ranked seasons. In addition, they have less time because they are training, playing league, etc. So many of them will now have copper-bronze?
Nooooo e-sports players play a LOT of Siege, especially streamers. They're still able to put in 100-200 matches into a ranked season and play Pro League. They tend to typically reach Champ-Diamond, especially since it's easier for them to considering they almost always have teammates from their pro team.
But I follow a lot of them and none of them play ranked :)
