is using audio enhancement software considered "cheating"?
asking for "friends" if i can them that anymore, so is it? even if your using realtek audio console or another software from microsoft store to enhance the audio like: surround sound, bass, audio frequency or even volume boost.
cause my "friends" think it is cause they bring the argument saying "if using macros is cheating so is audio enhancing" which is a fair argument but i dont think the comparison balances out.

If all that the software is doing is improving sound recognition in regards to direction etc, I don't see it as a cheat. Sound in this game is so buggy that it's hilarious.

i mean yeah i cant think of anything that would trip the anticheat

my headphones are surround sound capable (so, fine) and "bass, audio frequency or even volume boost" all imply actions that are fine to take

there are sound programs that act as an overlay and can be used as a cheat. It essentially gives you a radar for sound. It isn't always reliable but in 1v1 situations, having something pointing you towards a creeping opponent is very powerful.
