Siege is dead.

What i mean by that isn't that the player base is dying i mean siege is dead. I remember when they started off by saying who ever is the most inventive with the ops their gadget wins. The roles were there for a reason and everyone had a say in what went on. The gun play wasn't the best but it could have been something. Casual was literally there to blow off steam for ranked players because this was a competitive game. It was some what balanced and the gadget's made a unique gritty feel. The ops were well thought out and had a purpose other than to be the next old op but 2.0.

Now siege is a free to play model that they slapped on a well between 5 and 20 dollar price tag on it. The gadgets nor the ops matter anymore because you have 12 other ops who can do it better so have of the ops with basically copies of gadgets. To say there is even an ounce of competition in this game is basically laughable at this point. Skill no longer matters partially due to the fact that they can't figure out how to even group people with the same skill together but also because why bother gaining any? Why bother when the ranks don't matter and you can jump out of windows or hide in a corner to save the k/d to artificially inflate how good you are.The shut up and buy more skins meme is true to life here. How much crap have they actually sold?

How much money was wasted because we know that money didn't go back to fixing any problems with the game. I can name huge problems that people have been complaining about if you ignore hitreg ( because no one can agree no matter what side your on how bad it is ) . Sound is just unbearable at times and has never been fixed. This includes the sound glitches of guns or the sound just disappearing or just the normal game sound that is just bad. Balance holy god they could not balance ranked, an op, gun, or gadget to save their life. Instead of buffing bad ops so you don't have to do a 2.0. What government operating system would nerf guns or gadgets to make the worse op feel better? Just buff bad operators ffs. But of course not because people cried we have to nerf a good op to be just as bad and pointless as the others so op 2.0 can save the day.

Worst offense of all to me is instead of fixing those problems they waste time and money on banning alt accounts for hacking. All of those toxic people and people who hack they aren't using their main so why bother building another anti cheat that isn't ever going to fix the hacking problem because at that point youd have to hardware ban and we know ubisoft isn't going to do that. Look at the failed rep stuff they put in did it do anything? No of course not.... In fact i have seen more toxic people in the game do toxic things and abusing all these systems because of them. Instead of telling people to just mute and move on. Once again taking time money and effort away from what really mattered good game play.

They over promised 100 ops without having actual good ideas so the ops or boring and now we don't even get new maps with it. The reworks are at best a poor, thin, weak, useless bandaid on a gushing wound. You would think they would go hey maybe we should go back to what we promised a hardcore competitive game based on team work, creativity, and skill. I feel like this will never happen and this to me is truly why siege is dead.

What do you think was gonna happen when toxic stacks hijack voice chat with discord, and fester an environment of passive aggressive toxicity. It drives people away from this game, since you get no intel and only harassment/ridicule/toxicity if they do decide to use teamchat. Things would change if discord didn't work once a game started, since it would force toxic stacks to actually provide intel to EVERYONE on their team. A player should not have to enter a game where it's basically 9 or 8 versus 1, since intel is so critical in this game and everyone needs to hear it.

i havent touched siege in years i used to be a die hard fan. Every since op health broke hitboxes i havent played much, every time i give it a try i just encounter more broken hitboxes.

Yeah that might be true but people shouldn't be banned or punished every time someone gets their feelings hurt. You do know the harder they pretend to be on toxicity ( even if they were serious ) It would kill the game . I think that a better way to go about it would be to encourage people to mute these people and them add a permanent option to muting. That way people could click one button and always have that person perma muted. It would make toxicity drop no one has to get banned and we help people solve their own problems instead of whatever it is that they are doing now.

That might be true but they are working on legit like 4-7 assassin games right now. So i truly believe that is were some of the money went. I just don't understand why they wouldn't fix the problems in siege that i listed they aren't that hard...

since forever, the sound is and always been awful for siege. can hear people walking a mile away so its very easy to tell where people are. everything is so loud in siege jesus even cav cant hide her footsteps and that is her whole thing

I feel like the directional sound is the biggest offender about it. Half the time it comes from the right instead of the left where the people are or vice versa.
