CASUAL MAP SELECT: DISCUSS
This is a place for us to (formally and politely) discuss the potential benefits and drawbacks of adding a Map Selection feature to Casual mode.

PROS:
Players would not be forced to play on more unbalanced maps without needing to play Un/ranked mode.

Ubisoft would gather more data on which maps are popular and hence, more well designed overall. Lower picked maps could be given extra care and attention towards being made fun.

CONS:
Queue times could increase drastically on the lower picked maps.

Thoughts?

Just remove the bad maps and keep the good ones thats all i can say

Really there aren’t bad maps, they are just maps people haven’t adapted to. Like I know I’m sounding like some philosophical piece of ❤️❤️❤️❤️ but hear me out. The maps are fine, the guns are fine, the ops, well could use some work, but the season is good and the new ops I’m fine with, them having recycled guns is okay with me. They’re doing their best so I’m happy.
There are bad maps. House and Plane have been around since launch, and Yacht and Favela have been close to it. It's not an issue of people "not adapting" to them, it's an issue of maps being unbalanced and unfun to play seriously on.

Just learn how to play on them, they are as bad as people make them out to be. Now if a map don’t even have a border so players can just walk off the side then yeah that’s a bad map but all things considered they aren’t bad, just sometimes confusing
Not everything can be solved by "adapting." If you dropped the 10 best players in the world onto a match of Plane, they'd push the map to the limits and really showcase the horribly designed aspects of it.

Just reinforce the dang walls, and learn how to react better. It’s not tryna learn how to be god or make flying cars. It’s quite possible and currently is an easy thing to survive.

Don’t be predictable as in don’t run to the many holes they make unless you know you can kill them or get around it without dying, it’s actually kinda simple. And that can be avoided by learning these spots and moving somewhere else, and you may die because you moved but that’s just siege
What you're describing basically means you're forced to hide in one spot, and rotations will be near impossible. Once the map's opened up, it's just a matter of time before you're flushed out by flashes/frags/Zofia/Jackal etc.

This kind of stupid limitation to play is what makes it so attacker friendly.

You have multiple spots to hide just learn how to rotate without dying, much like all other maps, as well as learning how to not stay in one spot the whole game. It isn’t as bad as you make it out to be.
You just have to learn. You just have to adapt. Just get good. It's not hard. What you're saying sounds nice, but in reality that's just not how it works. The map is attacker sided, there's really no getting around that.

Yes, it's design was crappy, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to play on. I don't think they should remove house.

Well, the current map rotation they're implementing is a discussion for another time. Now: what do you think of the ability to pick and choose maps in Casual?

You're absolutely right. Whether or not a map is "fun" for stupid strats and goofing off has no real bearing on whether or not it's a well designed map.
That's where the actual design of the map comes in, and sadly House is pretty bad.
