Steam free-weekend is free-ride for cheater!
Every time there is a free-weekend on Steam for R6 Siege, the ammount of hackers is extremly increasing... what a "suprise"!

They just start a new acc on Steam, install the game for free and let the hacks begin.
They don´t even try to hide it. Last sunday I played 4 ranked matches... in every one was at least one cheater! In the last one was a complete 5 player clan which started to cheat after they saw that they can´t win without hacks.

They just laughed about the new BallteEye System and said that its so easy to bypass it and even when they get banned, they paid nothing for, so they have no loss. As a player who started with the closed alpha, paid almost 60€ and wached that week after week more and more player start to cheat, that makes me really angry.

So plz Steam... no more free-weekends for R6 Siege!!! I know that this is a great marketing-strategy to reach more potential players... but there are already enough hacker in this game. Don´t boost them with a free-ride for cheating. It destroys the game.

Without free weekend we still have a ton of hackers anyway :^)

It also boosts the player base, temporarily and allows more people to try out the game...

Free weekends expire, just as the sales. Does little for cheating.
As for BattlEye, it is still being fully implemented and requires more of the actually used cheats to be known.

Yes, I totally agree. And It´s very important that the game is constantly gaining new players, cause only than the developers support it on a long term. And hopefully the do, cause I really love this game.

But the other side is, at the same time during the free weekend the hackes come out of their caves and start to show how much their life sucks.

And now imagine that for this one weekend there is in (understated) every third game a hacker. So the normal free-weekend test player has no chance to get a nice game-experience and see that this game has a lot of hackers... so he will think twice about buying the game for 40€ or 70€ for the gold edition.

So in my opinion the free weekend is double-edged sword.
On the one side the game gets a lot of new players so the game will be developed for a longer time, but on the other side it also loses a lot of potential and current players because of the steadily increasing share of hackers.

Maybe it´s better just to offer the game for a lower price, like the sale they recently did, and not for free, even when its for a few days.

And of course the best solution is to improove the BattleEye Anti-Cheat like you said. Than they can sell it for free as long as they want :D

Free Weekend just means the game is free to play in that weekend only. You have to buy the game if you want to play it for longer than just a weekend...
It was on sale price though through the weekend, so there is that.

I know, thats what I just said ;) "Maybe it´s better just to offer the game for a lower price, like the sale they recently did, and not for free, even when its for a few days." :) I know that u have to pay for it after that weekend. But that doesn´t stop the hackers to play it for the weekend, what affects my game-experience.
