Try this:
The .ini tweak did the trick, though. Thanks!
How do you change the .ini tho?
Can you please create a case on the {LINK REMOVED}support website and {LINK REMOVED}submit your DxDiag and MsInfo files for further investigation. Thanks!

Tried this and it was set to 0 but still launches as windowed
This problem occurred to me every time I tried to play a U-play game, for example R6 siege and Ghost recon Wildlands. I tried a lot of the tips in this and other threads: changing in the game setting file, alt+enter, update graphic drivers, running the games as admin, disable this and that, etc. Nothing worked for me.
However the thing that fixed it for me was to:
Open the Nvidia control panel
Chose monitor 1 as active monitor (even though I only have 1 monitor)
Go to screen settings (in the Nvidia control panel) and to adjust the desktop size and position. Change the scaling to “Full screen”. Apply and save.
After this I was able to play in full screen on my games and could change the resolution in game. Let me know if it worked for you too.
i think its because i miss the confirmation on changing resoultion when my screen goes black
