Ping/Marker doesn't work anymore
As the title says, the problem is quite simple but yet so frustrating.
I have just installed Windows 10 and as soon as i started playing R6S i noticed that my ping/marker doesn't work anymore.
I tried re-binding the key, check file integrity and can't come up with any more solutions.
Anyone else with the same problem, this is so frustrating for me as i don't use the mic and the ping/marker was the only way to communicate in crucial situations :steamsad:

did you try restarting? cause for some reason my pinging wouldn't work either for some strange reason one time not that long ago, and it just went back to normal when i restarted the game it was fine again and haven't had that problem since, just probably a weird glitch I guess

Mine has the same issue but I’ve checked settings restarted a lot of times but pings no workie
Since you mentioned you've just installed Windows 10, it could be something system-related. Here are a few things to try that might fix the issue:

1. Run the game as administrator
Sometimes permissions get in the way:

Right-click the Siege shortcut → Run as administrator

2. Check your keybinds again (including alternate inputs)
You said you re-bound it, but make sure:

Go to Settings > Controls

Scroll to the Ping/Marker section

Reset it to default temporarily to test (usually Middle Mouse Button or Z)

Also check if Alternate Ping is bound to something odd

3. Check for background apps stealing input
Some apps (like overlays or macro tools) might be intercepting keystrokes/mouse buttons.

Disable overlays: NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Discord Overlay, Overwolf, etc.

Exit apps like Razer Synapse, Logitech G Hub, or SteelSeries GG

4. Windows mouse settings
If your ping is bound to your middle mouse button, Windows might not be registering it:

Go to Control Panel > Mouse > Buttons and make sure middle-click is set correctly.

Test with a different mouse if possible.

5. Reinstall or repair R6S and Ubisoft Connect
You’ve already done file integrity, but a full reinstall might help. Also try:

Ubisoft Connect > Properties > Verify Files

Make sure the game is fully up to date.

6. Try a clean config
Your config files might be corrupted. Back them up and let the game generate new ones:

Navigate to:
C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\

Back up the folder and then delete it.

Launch the game to generate fresh configs.
