R6 won't start. Probably error 0xc000007b. [SOLVED]
Hi guys, the game works just fine for me but a friend of mine is having some issues when he tries to open the game.
The game won't start, it's seems like Steam says he's playing it (for a few seconds) and he's back online. He told me that the game isn't even showing something, or crashing. It's not even starting.

What we have already tried:
- Re-install Visual C++ 2010 / 2015
- Re-install Uplay
- Verify caché
- Re-install .NET Framework 4.5 / Try to install 4.6
- Run the game as administrator from RainbowSix.exe
- Compatibility mode Windows 7 from the Compatibility Mode RainbowSix.exe properties (Windows 7 option is not even here, don't know why. It is available in my computer btw).
- Disable Uplay overlay and synchronization for supported games

As far as I'm concerned, his drivers are all up to date.

Now, here is what might be causing the problem: When he tries to run as admin from the .exe game, the 0xc00007b warning pops up. I did quite a deep search on the internet about how to fix it but none seems to be working / the are pretty confusing.

So guys, any of you had this problem before with this issue related to R6? This kind of issues is pretty common I think but I don't know if you can fix it by downloading a DLL or something like that.

Thanks for any help you might provide.

Greetings!

EDIT: We've finally found a solution

Here's what we did:

1 - Installed Dependency Walker
2 - Checked all DLL's missing
3 - Googled them and downloaded them (in x64 in his case)
4 - Done, game's working and fine.

So basically your friend pressed Play and nothing happened?

I don't experience your problem, but I had a problem when the game is constantly crashing. I googled it and they only told me to "update the driver to the latest" which I've already did.

So I tried to uninstalled and re-installed then update the whole driver all over again and now it worked.

He installed Dependecy Walker to check all DLL's that were missing, downloaded and installed them and all is working just fine now. Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

That's the most effective way to fix the 0xc00007b problem, in my opinion. I had this issue with Killing Floor 2 now that I remember and I fixed it with that software. It's amazing.

Search the game's executable .exe in the open tab and ready. The program will show which dlls are missing (or if they do not correspond to the OS)

Why don't you wanna download it? It's a great software and plus it might be useful in future occasions. I really don't remember which ones were missing. This was a long time ago and I fixed it with the Dependency Walker, to be honest.

Did you search the dll files from www.dll-files.com or from somewhere else? Sorry for being late
