Just because it's new doesn't mean it hasn't failed. In fact with mechanical hard drives the most common times for them to fail is usually within a couple of weeks of getting them (usally caused by being shaken about too much in transit), or years later (wear and tear)...
That's literally meaningless...
Chances are it's something less severe, like your drivers have borked. You might also have knocked something loose when you installed the drive...
Ok, you're not talking to an amature computer nut here, i do know whether or not my hardware is corrupted or not. I did not order my hardrive and have it delivered here, i picked it up myself so ther is no chance of it being damaged by mishandeling. Plus, i've checked and rechecked my hardware a thousand times this month and even more so these last few days, i know for a fact it is an iossue regaurding a configuration that Rainbow Six Siege has changed
Either hardware or software fault.
Any software will add registry entries to your operating system, but will be for that piece of software and that piece of software alone. Some software (in this game, Rainbow > Uplay > Steam all in one big circle upon launch) will 'talk' to each other, but won't actively write or re-write any files in each others configuration to the point of potentially damaging one another. That's crazy talk.
Sometimes it's a resolution default that games apply. When loading the game up, alt+enter to put it in windowed. Unlikely that will fix the issue but it's worth a shot.
I recently downloaded a program from IObit called driver booster. This thing found 13 drivers out of date and updated them. I have yet to have any other issues with games.
ok i''ll give the driver booster a shot cause recently i've discovered it may all be a conflicting resolution issue, but that partially explains why only some of my games are not working anymore, but thanks for the suggestion.
Ill be honest if you tried software re install as in windows fresh install wich you SHOULD, then its hardware, if you have spare parts, you should slowly remove and boot your computer to try and jot down what is wrong with your comp, in example if you have 2 sticks of ram remove one and then boot, if it happens then add the removed one and remove the the other one, that way slowly but surely you will zero on what part of your hardware is at fault.
Be smart, just because some hardware of your computer is new or has only a couple of months does not mean it should not fail, fact is it can and may fail, all are mass produced and transported via ship to the brands who then ship it to stores.
I know its hard to see that hardware that costs 100++ dollars fail on you but thats just how it is.
I say this as I have years on my belt dealing with this, as many other users who have said the same have.
