How to improve reaction time?
So, my reaction time is utterly terrible. To quote someone I was just in a game with "Ozzy has the reaction time of a 5 year old child" I almost never win gunfights because I just don't have the reaction speed to win. That and the fact that my aim is like what would happen if a monkey got given an uzi, it makes it almost impossible for me to win gunfights. Usually the only time that I get a kill is when I flank around someone from behind and kill them. And even then I'm lucky to get a kill because again, my aim is terrible and the only surefire way to get a kill is headshots, which I usually go for, I can't seem to get any kills. I think it's pretty impossible to improve my aim at this point so my only option is reaction time improvement. Thing is, I have no clue how to improve it. Anyone have any tips/ways to improve it?

The best way to improve reaction time for me is to just play the game and slowly improve it overtime. After all video games decrease reaction time right? And as for your aim, if I were you I would play more stationary characters, like Rook for example.

Just dropping armor and watching a door or window will help your team and practice your skills. When you see someone smash a window open over and over again it will steadily get better over time. You can also watch their toes to get the upper hand for doors.

I'd hate to mention other games but CSGO has a lot of community maps that help improve aim and such.

Do daily reaction "workouts"/activities, if you google it I'm sure you'll find a few hood ones as I also have noticed my reaction time slowing down since I'm not as active as I used to be when I was 13-14 years old, I don't know if they help but I guess the placebo effect has an influence if you truly believe these workouts will help

I recommend playing Normal difficulty Terrorist Hunt to get used to snapping to enemies' heads and used to the sensitivity of your settings.
Your reactions have a better chance when you control what angles you are holding and know at least roughly where the enemy players are, because it puts you in more of a state of readiness.
If you have a 60HZ monitor and are playing people with 120 or 144HZ monitors, it is less likely you will best them when camping and waiting for them to turn a corner; instead, you must attack first and in a direction they are not looking at the moment.
Reaction time is practice but it helps when you can predict what the enemy is going to do.

I mean I'd play those stationary characters if I had fun with them. Except I don't. I hate stationary play unless it's just playing chanka because turret is fun. I'm even worse with the big, bulky, slow ops like rook and doc and others than with medium or light armor ops. I only end up dying constantly whenever I play them and it just makes the game frustrating, annoying, and not fun to play any more because all I do is die.

To add to that, playing the game just doesn't help for me with reaction time. That's why I'm asking for tips or things to do on here rather than just playing the game more. My ability level has pretty much capped like it does with all other shooters (I suck at games, especially shooters, in general. Not just this.) The absolute highest I can get to is silver III, and that was only the result of playing months of ranked and staying at bronze. It doesn't exactly help that people constantly kick me from ranked games for sucking at the game and tell me to just stop playing when I'm trying to get better.

When I first started playing R6, my reaction time was instant... now that I learned to play tactically... my reaction time is like a tortoise... maybe its just me.

Play solo terrorist hunt on normal. Just rapidly move through the map and try to score all head shots. Don't drone, don't corner camp, just keep on the move.

Also make sure you're playing with the right sensitivity. Especially if you have trouble with reaction time the default sens is probably WAY too high. Down from the default 50/50/50 I play at 9/9/27 (800 DPI) which is significantly lower yet I can still quickly adjust my aim as needed.

Also try playing with toggle aim instead of hold. The extra tension on your hand and pressure on your mouse can interfere with precise movements for some people (like myself).

I have a fairly decent reaction speed from csgo but i dont recommend it.

Terrorist hunt on normal to start your self off. As you get better put the difficulty higher until it reaches realistic. Your reaction time will really be tested on realistic.

Hey Ozzy, maybe we could play some Terrorist together,
I, too, need some speed and aim Improvements

I believe the better quote is "you have the reflexes of a statue"
Sleep well, eat well, play well. oh and stay off the bong.

This ^, smoking weed makes you stupid don't do it, if you plan on smoking weed in the future at least wait until you can afford to be stupid, when you're young and in college or just starting a career I wouldn't suggest smoking excessively just wait until you can physically afford to be stupid,

And it will greatly hinder your ability to play effectively
