Enable UPNP if you can
VPN is Virtual Private Network. It means you can "borrow" somebody network in other places with a cost of slower internet speed and it's unstable (high ping, could be about 160 - 250 or even more)
The reason why you have a strict NAT is because your ISP blocked it. You need to port forwarding or contact your ISP and ask them to unlock it.
So, VPN is a way to use somebody else ISP that has Open/Moderate NAT to play.
It could depends on the router too.
But anyways, like I said, if you feel there's no hope, then try VPN. I'm actually using it right now, but I have to play with 200 ping most of the time on Japan server. (Japan is a country with one of the fastest internet connection so after I use VPN and take the cost of slower internet speed, I get 200 ping)
