So HOW does the ranking system work?

Im wondering how does the ranking system work? Cause the ammount of points that i get when wining a ranked match and the ammount that my friend gets it's just ridicilous...

I get arround 15-20 points while he gets like 70-80... The veird thing is that im almost the MvP in most of the rounds and it doesn't matter how many kills i get or how much i contribute to the match i can't get much over the 20 points while most of my team mates get like 70-80 and many of them vent to platinum ranks while im still stuck in gold 3-4.

The funny thing is it still takes all of us like 200-300 points to rankup and for me its like 20 matches for a rank and for them is like 4-5 matches tops, so wtf?

While both me and my friend need 100-200 points to rankup hes getting arround 60-70+ points for a won match while im getting 15-20+, me and him are playing in a premade group of 5 so the opponets are same only thing that is different is my Rank that is 100 and his that is arround 50. Il SS the next time we play.

stop fighting and learn how the ranking system really works.. It can happen that he ranked up super fast. When you don't play ranked much the change in the rank and the points earned or lost after a ranked match are way more drastic. If you play a lot of ranked it will go down, right now im losing/earning around 15-25 points a match, cause I play lots of ranked - only ranked.

Play more ranked, your rank becomes more solid and it will take more to earn or lose it.

That's also what i thought. He started playing recently and was getting a lot of points because of it. Which made him progress super fast, just wanted to confirm that. But as it seems this is the internet moronic replys are inevitable

Glad I could clear things. Once he gets ranked play time it will be stable. If you think about it, it make sense - at first the game wants to find your rank but out of all the ranks there are and not put you at Bronze or Copper if you already have skills from playing Casual or simply cause you are a good player and than once it finds your skill level (more or less) it slows it down and lets you rank up and get gud with time/
