Holding other than Bravo Packs for better chance of a better item dropping?

So i know if you have a big number of bravo packs, its better to hold, like till the end of the operation at least, because with each one opened your chance for better item rises. Is it the same with regular packs Alpha Packs and Event Packs or it only works with Bravo Packs?

Never heard of that before I bout battlepass twice , opened barvo pack immediately and got around 2-3 black ice , 3 legendary , 2-3 epics , and some rare and uncommon.(each season)
I don't think i could get more than that by holding the packs

Brooooo! My 56 (alpha/bravo/xmas/showdown/halloween/esports/etc)packs are all gonna be legendary! Most of them are over a season old by now!

Not necesarly, plenty of people hoard them. I mean i know that him saying "oh all mi skinz gunn be legendry" was a joke. But if he actually hoarded 56 packs, then my question is why, since he clearly doesn't believe opening them all at one sitting does anything. Asking just out of curiosity. I've seen a guy hoarding 480 packs.
