Well its not exactly the same thing. From what they showed us, 3 maps are chosen at random and each team gets to ban 1, then they play the one that doesn't get banned.
Just like in Rocket League, for example, it should only decrease the chances of getting the selected map, in a sense, that the more players in the lobby are having the map selected as they don't want to play it, the lower the chances of that map being selected, and vice-versa.
If you ask me, it all shall remain random. Always, as it may result in the map never ever getting a rework, etc., if the more people share the same opinion, making the map becoming completely impossible to play.
For example, The majority selects Canal, and the players will play it around once in thirty matches, making the map even less popular and boring, due to the fact, people do tend to forget anything they don't repeat, practice, or meet with pretty often, furthermore convincing even the rest to choose the Canal as the map they don't want to play, decreasing the chances even more, making Canal appearing about once in two hundred matches, perhaps even making the map completely abandoned forever.
That's why I'd preffer to avoid that at all costs, making the reason, why I do must disagree with this suggestion, with the topic, completely.
We don't have anything in the manner of timelines currently, bt our team is definitely working!
