If I like Glaz, will I like Kali?

Glaz isn't really my go to op when I'm trying to win, but when I just wanna have fun, he's absolutely one of my go to ops. That said, if I enjoy playing him, would I enjoy Kali, the other sniper in Siege? I feel like the awnser would be an obvious yes, but I want some clarification/advice before I go spending 25k renown.

It's a lot different playing Kali compared to Glaz, the damage is a lot higher, fire rate is lower, and I think the recoil is higher. Her weapon is a different beast entirely

Glaz is a dmr, Kali is bolt actio

If dmrs are what you like then no, you're better off with doki, if sniping is what you like then yes she's nice

I'm a big Glaz fan, personally I rarely play Kali. What I like about Glaz is his ability to see enemies in yellow, even through smoke.
If you want to play a more "traditional" sniper, sure go ahead and buy Kali!

If you can hit your first shot, then you will probably like her. If not then youll get mad pretty fast.

They are both considered the snipers of siege but they play out very differently. Her weapon is a lot different compared to Glaz, and harder to use as well, having very high damage, but very low fire rate and a different scope. She can be fun, but I wouldn't suggest her just because you like Glaz.

Not really, depends on what you say like about glaz because he's used more as pusher with smokes something kali is not, she's more about long range and punishing peekers that doesn't mean you should spend the the entire round in some dumb "sniping point" until there's 10 seconds left

I mean, I've gotten a decent amount of one taps with Glaz, on people who tried to peek me, so I'd imagine I'd do decent with Kali at first. Most of my deaths as Glaz actually result in me not being able to get a headshot, and trying to control the recoil of the next few shots

It's more of the sniping aspect that I like. Besides, I already have Dokka lol

Just to echo what other folks are saying (and playing almost exclusively as snipers in every shooter ever) If you're looking for a classic sniping experience Kali is a *lot* of fun. I always looked at Glaz as more what I would call a "dedicated marksman" meaning he definitely has long range utility, but he can also operate effectively at mid range firefights, whereas that is a lot more difficult to do with Kali, who's got that classic bolt action feel you might be going for.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really work *TOO* well on R6S. Because it's mainly close quarters fighting.

However, if you want to fulfill that niche, go for it. She probably would be a really good sniper.
It's just that i'm not a good sniper.

Be warned though. She has the CZ-75 as a sidearm. And it's terrible. Not because of anything like:

-the damage
-the firerate
-the recoil.
-accuracy
-precision

Those are actually it's best aspects.

No, no, no. The reason why the CZ-75 is her worst sidearm. Is because of the iron sights. It's terrible. It's absolutely terrible. It's like the gun hits me in the eye everytime I fire it while iron sighting in.

I can barely see the enemy. While the gun is probably damaging Kali's ability to snipe in the long term.

Surprisingly nobody talks about how great of an pistol the P226 is stat wise. Well it's still one of the best pistols and has significantly higher damage at all ranges (50-30) than the CZ-75 Auto (35-23). Still it's underestimated by most players who run SMG-11 except Thatcher.

Then again it's an semi-auto pistol unappealing to players who prefer the full-auto options. Also requires fast trigger fingers, but it perfectly fits those type of players with that skill.

15+1 rounds in the mag, low recoil, and mid-high damage models makes it perfect alternative for Kali if you don't like the CZ-75 iron sights.

Oh and do remember that Kali has probably the slowest aim down sight speed in the game, and unlike glaz you can't remove the scope for cqc, you can only switch between 5x and 12x (12x is almost never used tbh)

Also I'm hoping that everyone here complaining about glaz's recoil knows that they should be using muzzle brake and not the suppressor, muzzle brake on single fire weapons (such as pistol and dmr) almost gets rid of recoil entirely

I like Glaz far better. With his smoke grenade, other team mates smoke canister like Capitão' etc. you can really sneak around and get some hits.

Also since Glaz rifle is semi automatic you can easy throw a few ekstra shots at your target if you miss. If you miss your target with Kali, then you are most like dead before she manage to reload.
