All ops except for shield ops operate in the same general manner, some specializing in one thing over another.
They aren't different sizes, species- like in other Hero Shooters.

My problem with this argument is that it doesnt take into account take into account the reason why the hero shooter genre became defined as such. I think moba's had more of an impact on the genre's creation than tf2 did, because in tf2 you can have 10 scouts with roughly the same types of items and there wasnt much difference in how they played. And while sure every single operator in the game can do the exact same thing like shoot players, shoot cameras, make barricades, there abilities for the most part are definately more destinct than your usual class game, and more important like mobas and every other hero shooter on the market, Only one player can pick what operator and you are forced into deciding on which to choose from a selection of many which forces you to make decisions based on strategy and team balance.
Class based shooters dont really have the same rock paper scissors angle that a game like siege has. And because of this it has more in common with overwatch than counter strike.
Ive gotten a lot of hate in the past because people freak out when you tell them that siege isnt anything other than a tactical shooter, because they somehow think that it being labelled anything else lumps it in with call of duty. Siege can be a hero shooter and an asymmetrical tactical shooter at the same time.
