How do you unlock operators now?

So it seems they've moved to battle passes, one of the most aids FOMO trends to grace video games, and operators are part of those. I haven't played in a while, so how do I unlock operators if I've missed the battle pass?

Just asking while I wait for the download to finish, otherwise I'd try to check in-game.

No I don't think so. It doesn't take long to grind up renown.

You can buy R6 credits with real money to unlock previous operators or play the game and get enough renown to buy them if you don't want to spend real money.

yep this is the only way to buy them outright without renown grind

You can still use r6 credits or renown like always, but now you could also unlock the operator if you buy the battle pass too.

And what about upgrading to "Ultimate" edition? Btw, will it continue to unlock new content? I.e. new operators added to it they come out?

No, Ultimate doesn't secure you new operators.

No, Ultimate doesn't secure you new operators.

Hm, not sure I get it then. Pretty sure that year 4-5 operators, for example, weren't in it at some point. So it basically... gets "locked" content-wise the moment you buy it, huh? x)
