Copper is harder than gold or plat

I lost 9/10 placement matches because I had serious connection issues that I now resolved. My copper matches are consistently full stack smurf trolls that derank purposely, leavers, and other assorted tomfoolery.

I placed gold and plat almost every season since operation health when I started playing. But it's never been this frustrating.

I don't care about rank, but now I can't play with my friends anymore without being a full stack. I think this system is awful since I want to play ranked with my friend.

They are changing the whole MMR system where placements doesn't matter anymore, because there wont be any.

You start Copper 5 and then you can get all the way to Champ

Doesn't that make the whole smurfing situation worse?

no, you can't really smurf if you just start there. That means you'll have a mix of every type of player

The problem isn't so much smurfs on the enemy team. The problem is that most matches in bronze, my teammates are trying to throw the game and there is nothing you can do about it if they are a premade. It's just a luck of the draw whether or not you can solo queue out of copper.

Stuck in bronze because of trolls and derankers so I don't have any choice but to lose games because my entire team is throwing and makes the lower elo's worse to play considering going back to console and abandoning PC version of this game for good.
