because it lost its authenticity from a tactical realistic swat type fps to a sci fi shooter not to mention how ubisoft butchered the game with uneeded updates

it's still staying at around 50k average.
people are comparing it to like 6-8 months ago when you couldn't
really go anywhere. yeah it used to have 120k plus average
the game has dropped since then sure.
but it's because everyone is back working/going out now

it's basically the same now as it was in 2018
the game isn't really dying.

Dont judge it with only steam playerbase. It came slowly to every store. Game pass, epic, uplay. This stores got really good discounts. Idk how can we see all pc playerbase but we need to judge it with this data not only steam.

Lots of reasons. One of them is because it's not summer time yet, aka teens, kids still have school, when the summertime break will happen, I bet the numbers will increase. Also because of how unbalanced the game is - while you want to chill in casual, plats or diamonds join in with their teams and start (beep)ing on people, same as in ranked - cheaters and smurfs. Also because the game still costs about 30€, comparing it to CS:GO is quite unfair because CS:GO has an inventory system, also A LOT of bots and kids play it. And R6 isn't an easy game kekw

Unfortunately this game isn't going anywhere, I played this game since the beginning even was happy to buy a second copy for the pc. (originally console player so my hours is smaller than its suppose to be) And I quit because of the direction siege was going, and some people will quit because of direction but then new players fill the space. So do not worry, numbers are optimal and the game will continue chugging.

Ps. I just occasionally check the forums to reminisce and check what's people talking about.
