How can you not know what's wrong with it if in the op you questioned how long is it gonna take for them to design a "good" matchmaking system?
There's nothing wrong with the system. It finds games fast and the teams tend to be very balanced (and if they're not then that's taken into account when points are allocated).
At least that's how MM worked until Operation Health, I haven't read or hear anything like that during blood orchid update.

Also Ubi nowadays hide the ranks post match, so golds & silvers will not have proof of being steam rolled by a copper smurf & his plat friends due the matchmaking putting agaisnt them for "ez mmr points".
