Is this game worth buying for Single player?

So I love Rainbow Six series - played every one of them except Siege since late 1990s. Rainbow Six 3 Gold is my favorite (Raven Shield, Athena Sword, Iron Wrath) because I have 1500+ single player maps for Terrorist Hunt with Squad AI I can take over.

So, I've avoided R6 Siege because it had some 5min pvp last time I checked which I don't care about. I don't like nor play MP.

Question - I now see there are like 18 or so maps. Are they all available for Single Player with squad AI? Can you at least play single player terrorist hunt solo with these 18 maps? Hopefully without any annoying 5min time limits.

Is this game worth buying for SP? And if so which version should be purchased so I have all the operators and maps?

Simply, no. Terrorist hunt is insanely neglected, boring, and grindy. You will not get anything out of this game unless you play multiplayer

no story, but offline mode, which honestly doesn't count for singleplayer

100% no. Theres no actual campaign like a lot of other R6 games. There is Terrorist hunt but that is pretty much just for practicing multiplayer.

DON'T buy this game for the single player. For the love of god. This is not a single player game at all.
If you want a good single player FPS game might I recommend Halo MCC? Titanfall 2 has also picked up in recent time, and people say it has a decent single player. Rage 2, Doom and Doom Eternal, Metro and Stalker for more "tactical" gameplay. But strictly single player, literally pick any other FPS game.

Ubi has been trying to bury behind a rug Thunt / PvE in this game for 5 years in a row, and they keep removing features from it, so you get the idea of how Ubi likes Thunt.

As many people said in this thread, if you're looking for a single player experience play any other FPS that has coop or games from other genre with decent campaign.

I recommend you give it a try to RTS & TBS games, like Age of Empires franchise, Command & Conquer franchise, Dungeons 2, Empire Earth franchise, Europa Universalis, Tropico, Hearth of Iron 4, Sid Meier's Civilization, etc.

Squad AI? as in AI teammates? I don't think there's such thing in Siege

You can play solo if you are willing to think of other players as just very hard bots.

Skip it. There are some nice indie games here at Steam, that are trying to revitalize the original Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six formula: Ground Branch, Zero Hour, etc
